Sameer’s practice focuses primarily on domestic and international commercial arbitration as well as corporate commercial litigation. Sameer has an Honors degree in law with a specialty in International Trade and WTO from National Law University.

Sameer has served as lead counsel in numerous matters involving intricate and complex legal issues, covering a wide range of sectors, including Arbitration, Corporate/ Commercial Disputes, Infrastructure, Taxation (Customs, Excise, Service Tax, VAT, GST and Direct Tax), Foreign Contribution Regulation, Bank Guarantee, Tenders, Land Laws. He also has experience as an arbitrator in domestic, ad hoc arbitration and in international arbitration under the ICC Arbitration Rules.

Sameer has acted for various multinational corporations, foreign governments, high-profile individuals and royal families. His clients come from India, Russia, Israel and Japan, among other parts of the world and include Siemens AG and India, Vinci Concessions, Jass Toll and Abhijeet Group amongst others in complex infrastructure disputes against NHAI, PGCIL, and State & Central Governments.

Before Founding PSL Advocates & Solicitors, Sameer worked with some of the best organizations in India, including  Goldman Sachs, where he completed a course on Contract Negotiation, Ernst & Young and Luthra & Luthra Law Offices.

Sameer has authored various papers and articles. He is a Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, which is ICC’s global think tank on arbitration and ADR, based in Paris. He is also part of the core-committee of ICC’s India Arbitration Group and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Sameer has recently been appointed to the Board of Advisors of the Centre for Financial and Insolvency Law, Maharashtra National Law University. From 2019-21, he acted as the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum Representative for South Asia.
